Congratulations to our Marketing Department! They took home three awards at last night’s Public Relations Society of America – Nebraska Chapter’s Paper Anvil Awards. Our super talented team won for the following:
- Award of Excellence for the Weather on 2 Product Launch
- Award of Excellence for our Great Tech Campaign
- Award of Merit for the Unite Private Networks Website Design

For the third year in a row, we received recognition from the Nebraska chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Three programs were recognized this year and we are very proud of our team! Our Auto-Pay Contest received an Award of Merit in the integrated communications category. The GPC-TV Sports Contest also received an Award of Merit in the direct mail/direct response category. Finally, our new Enterprise Sales Folder won an award of merit in the brochure category. Congrats to our entire team who work very hard getting the Great Plains Communications message out there!

Great Plains Communications has won honorable mention at the PRNews Digital Awards in the Search Engine Optimization category. The ceremony was held yesterday in New York City. It’s the first time the team has ever won the award and we couldn’t be prouder.
Search engine optimization is the process of making a website easier to find through sites such as Google and Bing. Our goal is to make it even easier for our customers to find us in their communities and on the web. The campaign centered around our efforts to reduce confusion in search results between us and another similarly named company.
PRNews’ Digital Awards is the industry’s top honor in the PR/communications digital space, recognizing initiatives that capture the inspiring combination of public relations at its finest and the expanding power and reach of digital platforms.
Congratulations to our Marketing team! They took home two MIDI awards from the Mid-American Cable Show held on September 5-7th.
The marketing team took third place in the Marketing and Promotion Category: 10,001 + 25,000 Division for the recent “Be Together” campaign, which emphasized how your Internet, Phone and Television services helped keep family and loved ones connected. Our GPC-TV team took home second place for the show “Husker Homefront,” which aired during Veteran’s Day.
The whole department has a long history of performing well at the Mid America Cable Show and have taken home many MIDIs over the years. We’re very excited for them this year and for their future success!
